06/12/09: went to this movie hoping for good, expecting trekkie of a hubby to rip it to shreds, but we both loved it. There was something for everyone - whether you are a fan of the TV show (lots of homages, great casting, honoring backstories) or just a movie fan (special effects, witty banter, great plot). I think some of the supporting cast steals some scenes (Scotty and Bones especially) but definitely a movie I would suggest seeing in the theater and will watch again on DVD! |

Fun Sci-Fi Flick |
11/26/09: This was a silly romp, bringing forward familiar characters and starting a new timeline for Trek fans. I honestly don't think we would care to watch it again, but we would definitely watch a next one! |
