Do your friends share advice during business meetings, lunches, using email, Facebook and Twitter? My friends used to, and some still do. What pains me is that it all goes to waste, scrolls off the wall. Lots of valuable information is lost.
On the other hand, what if any piece of advice exchanged between friends got shared with all their other friends, and saved for future use? We'd all learn a lot, and have a place to come to when needing advice we can trust. That's the idea behind TrustedOnes.
Is TrustedOnes another social network? NO, because it works with your existing friends on social networks, email and mobile devices, ....and YES, because it uses your social connections to give you information from people you know and trust.
We went by this place twice when we had not enough time to actually visit, but next time we are up north, this will be on the list! Sent from my iPhone
This is more of a placeholder note: looked for a top animal friendly zoos list and found the following: Reviews sites: http://www.wrsol.com/usatravelguide/2009/02/top10zoosinamerica/ http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30212674/ Zoos to see: San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park (been there- park is better!) Cincinnati Zoo Columbus Zoo St. Louis Zoo Philadelphia Zoo Brookfield Zoo near Chicago Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando (actually a good zoo despite the Disney association) Phoenix Zoo Fort Worth Zoo Miami Met..
Try to go on a weekday, or when the weather is not California perfect. Otherwise, you may find it hard to park. Once in, it's easy to get away from the crowds - most people don't venture far. On our last trip, T&I we lucky to see (and take countless pictures of) a spotted owl - rare and awesome! ...so, bring a camera. Sent from my iPad
awesome bird watching! we walked from dessert hills, dry marsh, to wet marsh, to beach, and saw strange ducks, Swallows, Egrets, Blue heron rookery, and a boisterous batch of Caspian? Terns. oh and sparrows, seagulls, warblers, 1 bunny, 1 snake, 1 baby field mouse, a red talied hawk, a harrier, and bees. photographic bliss! did i mentionthe walk onthe " singing" beach? just like Manchester Bt Sea. awesome...
please note i didnot end up trying to ride here, but we went by while in half moon bay this week and felt we could not support a farm that has horses tied up, saddled, with no water that we could see. they did have shade, but overall the place looked depressing. almost all reviews that i found from those who know horses were very negative. what a shame!
wow! hundreds of elephant seals were there to molt ( new factoid for me), and we also caught a white tailed kite in the act of eating a baby dove- mean but beautiful!
