Do your friends share advice during business meetings, lunches, using email, Facebook and Twitter? My friends used to, and some still do. What pains me is that it all goes to waste, scrolls off the wall. Lots of valuable information is lost.
On the other hand, what if any piece of advice exchanged between friends got shared with all their other friends, and saved for future use? We'd all learn a lot, and have a place to come to when needing advice we can trust. That's the idea behind TrustedOnes.
Is TrustedOnes another social network? NO, because it works with your existing friends on social networks, email and mobile devices, ....and YES, because it uses your social connections to give you information from people you know and trust.
the never ending quest for the perfect bag for each task has led me to this site- the current quest: better camera travel bags. The 2 that have come closest in our collection have been KATA, so I looked at their Bumblebee line. This particular blog is a great, detailed and apparently honest look at an expensive camera accessory. The rest of the site is devoted to their art, but I hope they will share more such reviews in the future!
While the 7D number is higher than the 5DII, it is technically, somewhere between a 5DII and a 50D. It is NOT full frame, so the sensor has an effective 1.6 factor crop (a 50mm lens on the 5D looks like an 80mm lens on the 7D). There are pros and cons to this crop which are covered extensively elsewhere. All I wanted to do was comment on what a FANTASTIC CAMERA the 7D is! This is our go-to for rapid-fire action shots, flying birds, running kids, etc. The usual lens of choice is the EF 70-200mm IS L..
This is one of the "oh yeah" lenses if you can afford it, and after spending an equivalent amount on other lesser lenses to try to copy this one, basically it was a moot point. Don't skimp on your lenses if you don't absolutely have to. Get 2 really good ones and you will be set for most uses. The 24-70 is a revelation on the full frame 5DII, but also fantastic on any EOS. The f/2.8 means great low-light "speed" and ability to make very narrow depth of field (nicely blurry background a..
This is the other "hot damn!" lenses that you should not skimp on: There is a newer version of this lens, the mark II, which is currently more expensive, slightly heavier, but supposedly better IS. I have not tried that, but this one is legendary. Yes, it is heavy, it is large and really stands out in a crowd- it starts conversations like having a puppy at your side. But it cannot be replaced with a smaller/lesser lens for Canon. The IS works very well, and is even better on a monopod (though yo..
A new legend. As dedicated Canon shooters (because of our lens investments), we were very excited to get our 5D II last year. Basically, the "full frame" means that the digital sensor will "see" through the lens the way film would have, so a 50mm lens is really that. This camera basically turned our existing lens kit into an ENTIRELY NEW kit! The most amazing lens on this camera is the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM. The true 24mm wide is a revelation to our photography, and basically, we rarel..
Hi! My name is Kenneth Roberts, and I'm the Vice President of Newtonville Camera. Thank you very much for the kind words about our store. We are always working to improve our customer experience and value your feedback and support! Thank you!
We just had our family portrait done last year. They were awesome with getting us in and out quickly, getting the kids to smile and the final product the presented us with was beautiful. They're very expensive, but you get what you pay for!
Here is the usual introduction.. This is a short hands-on review, and you won't see any technical charts here. Theresa and I love photography and shoot Canon dSLR, only because we've made a substantial investment in lenses. We currently (mostly) shoot with 30D and 40D bodies, and we know how to use our gear, but our priorities are creative possibilities, fun, and great memories. We put low noise at high ISO way before pixel count, and we love fast lenses that let us shoot with less noise at higher speed a..
There are obvious reasons why a local small business can't compete with the likes of Amazon.com, BUT there are also obvious reasons why we should support our local small businesses - and here is just one great example... Theresa and I were walking past the Newtonville Camera & Video store, and we recalled wanting to checked out the Canon SX10 for its video capabilities (I thought it could do HD 720p), especially compared to the Canon FS10 hi def video camera. So, we walked in and were able to test d
