This is a really novel approach to gift-giving and charity. For Mother's Day this year, instead of sending me flowers that quickly die and are expensive, he donated money to a few charities he thought I would love to support, those that don't have huge marketing efforts or a ton of awareness. I love the idea!
My friend Arno recommended using BBC News instead of CNN. It's "real" news, not sensationalized, with some really cool features. My favorite find of the day is the 'Day in Pictures'.
This is a great site, easy way to save money for college while shopping online. It's easy to sign up and you can get the whole family in on it; aunts, uncles, grandparents. You just spend the way you normally would, at the store and online and you save money towards college.
I haven't used this site much but I love the idea of being able to quickly "read" business books which I generally don't have much time for. At least this way I can keep up with the stuff folks are talking about.
