How I would have loved to have used SeatGuru when I was traveling with a cat... they have information on underseat storage, good vs not so good seat choices on each flight, and general info on planes outfitted for many airlines. I most recently used it to select seats on a flight on JetBlue- admittedly one of the more passenger-friendly airlines, but there are still some "dud" seats in every plane which one would like to avoid :- )
Went here with another couple and will go again. The food is great and creative. We had to wait a while to order drinks and did wish to have cocktails and relax and then order dinner (something I've found best to disclose early on when eating out in the US unless your at L'Espalier or the now much missed Aujourd'hui) and then the other couple arrived and got menus but no opportunity to order for nearly 10 minutes. aside from that everything was great including the drinks and the service was spot on. Nice ..
My wife and I live nearby and love The Helmand. The service has always been good to extremely good and the food quite wonderful with very reasonable prices. The fresh bread to start out is excellent and the mint sauce/dip is silly good. Don't miss the caramelized pumpkin and the lamb. It's all great but those items are standouts and worth at least one try. The traditional coffee isn't my fav style but it's a nice change. Worth noting that vegetarians can get a great meal here. This is an outstanding venue, combining the very best an Inn can offer with several outdoor activities. You also need to know that this Inn comprises several chalets, each with its distinct character. There is also a function room (great for weddings) and two swimming pools, (outdoor and indoor).
