Question: Im looking for recommendations for an off-the-beaten path trip. Im looking for a unique cultural experience / adventure. Not a typical tourist destination. Examples of locations Im considering: Timbuktu, Iran. Im also testing out this TrustedOnes applica
I highly recommend Japan - combination of modern and ancient, and once you leave the major cities the opportunities for off the beaten path discovery skyrocket! Check out Hokkaido or some villages outside of Nara and Hiroshima.
Spots in Dover and Portsmouth, NH as well as Newburyport, MA. Couldn't be easier and runs frequently both to Logan and to downtown Boston (South Station). Monthly passes or commuter packs available and the best part - free parking for up to 30 days!
If you like beer this place might actually need to be renamed to nirvana! The beer menu is longer than the food menu - and that is just the ones on tap. My favorite part is that you can do a flight of any 4 beers that are on tap, or if you are too overwhelmed, the very helpful waitstaff will give recommendations. Also, the burgers are amazing. So many options - my favorite had spicy hummus and sliced avocados. Definitely a great hang out spot with friends
I really thought jeans were just jeans...but this brand of jeans (which my friend recommended and I found on Zappos.com) are amazing. They are very soft, have extra lycra in them so they keep their shape and I don't get that annoying gap at the waist. They claim to have some "technology" that helps flatten the tummy and lift stuff up - not sure about that, but they are quickly becoming my new favorites! Fun thing - there is a sticker on the inside with a cute warning that they aren't responsible..
Wonderful menu with all the traditional dishes you expect but made with little touches and spices that I didn't expect. The tequila menu was impressive and we tried a couple flights of tequilas to get a great sampling. Also surprisingly delicious dessert!
So full disclaimer - I love Harry Potter - I've read all the books, really enjoyed all the movies thus far. I was nervous about this one because the Half Blood Prince was my favorite book in the series. Turns out it was good but not great. There is so much in this book I knew they would have to leave out some interesting story arcs, but overall I think the movie was well balanced. Loved the focus on the budding relationships and the trials and tribulations of the teenaged heart (Ron steals the show imho) ..
I'm not typically a fan of stupid humor movies, but the personalities of the main 4 characters really sucked me in and had me laughing out loud at some parts. Found myself quoting sections a few days later as well. the pictures they show during the credits are worth the few extra minutes in your seats.
